US ambassador to Ukraine calls for more funding for Kyiv in light of massive air attack

US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink on Friday called for more funding for Kiev, as Ukraine experienced the largest Russian airstrike since the start of the full-scale invasion.

“Millions of men, women and children are in bomb shelters as Russia fires missiles across the country. Ukraine needs funding now to continue the fight for independence from such horrors in 2024,” she said in a post on social media.

Brink's comments come amid growing uncertainty about additional aid from the United States and stalled negotiations in Congress.

On Wednesday the US State Department announced a final military aid package of $250 million until Congress reaches an agreement on additional funding.

Meanwhile, the US Embassy in Kiev warned Americans on Friday that it "anticipates an increase in Russian drone and missile attacks during the New Year holiday weekend."

In a new security alert, the embassy advised Americans:

  • Identify shelter locations before any air warning
  • Download a reliable air alert app on their mobile phone
  • Take shelter immediately when air alert is announced
  • Stock up on water, food and medicine.
  • Americans are advised not to travel to Ukraine due to the war.

  1. Screw the Gazans, where the people actually are being murdered and starved in a real Genocide, let's send more money to Ukraine so that the corrupt swine in Kyiv (and Washington) can steal billions.
The Russians target and destroy only military targets (yes Victoria, the Ukrainian command set up in shopping malls and apartment blocks to pretend that they are civilian) whilst the Israeli send civilians to specific areas and then bomb those areas.
"Let's go Brandon" and all his Ukrainian friends.
