Democratic mayor accused of antics so wild she deserves her own TV show: 'Real life Parks & Rec situation'

The mayor of a small, unremarkable town on the outskirts of Chicago, where the average income is $24K a year, is living a royal life as she is perceived by critics as displaying actions that are both corrupt (meaning, she admits overusing his power) and is hilarious to the extent that he is featured on comedy shows like "Parks and Recreation".

Tiffany Henyard, a progressive Democrat, was elected as Mayor of Daulton, Illinois in the April 2021 municipal elections. She is also the supervisor of Thorton Township. For those positions, she brings home more than the state's governor – about $300k. She calls herself a "Super Mayor" and often posts messages that state "God chose me."

In one of the greatest examples ridiculed by critics, Henyard implemented an ordinance that if she lost the election to become mayor in the upcoming elections, the salary of the future mayor would be reduced from $200K to $25,000. But if Henyard wins, the salary will remain the same, Fox 32 found.

The move was seen by critics as a way to intimidate her competition.

Henyard has faced criticism from her trustees over how she spends city money – who have demanded receipts for charges on city cards – and they have accused her of running the tab for expenses without approval. Is.

“Not only are the residents in the dark, but the trustees are in the dark,” said Trustee Tammy Brown. In response to such criticism, Henyard posted a photo of his trustees and called them "haters".

One of the biggest criticisms came over expenses charged by the city in connection with a trip to Las Vegas, which was reportedly for a convention. Airfare for the trip alone was thousands of dollars, including more than $3,000 for a roundtrip ticket.

In a viral clip from WGN, dubbed by some as "the biggest interview of the year", Henyard was grilled about credit card expenses. His reactions shocked some critics, who believed it was too ridiculous to be real.

When Henyard was asked by a local reporter if she had been to Las Vegas, she responded by humming "Mmmm".

"What's that? Did you fly first class to Las Vegas?" asked Ben Bradlee, an investigative reporter for WGN9, about the $3,000+ flight.

"Any more questions?" Henyard said.

The reporter responded, "So you won't answer how taxpayers' money is being spent, that seems strange."

“I just answered your questions,” Henyard said.

The reporter said, "You said you wouldn't answer a question about Las Vegas."

Henyard said, "You asked me a question and I answered."

Bradley had some follow-up questions about the approximately $400 he spent on "Hot N' Juicy Crawfish" in Las Vegas and other dinners near the Las Vegas Strip, each of which cost hundreds of dollars.
To date, Mayer has produced two music videos featuring city workers, such as police dancing or promoting her image by remaining in the background while she lip-syncs to songs.

The small-town mayor's Instagram shows that she often uses a professional stylist to help with her wardrobe before making a public appearance at a community event or town meeting with her trustees.

The city of Dolton has just over 20,000 residents.

She also has a make-up artist and hairdresser whom she uses before public appearances and photoshoots which she uses for the county's billboards (more on that later). It's unclear how or whether those vendors are compensated for their services and how much money the dozens of outfit selections and professional styling will cost. When Fox News asked how the services were paid for, the mayor did not immediately respond.

Additionally, the town's Democrat "supermayor" has been criticized for spending thousands of taxpayer dollars on security for a handful of residents.

Henyard can be seen arriving at city events for senior citizens or for Christmas celebrations like a celebrity as police officers and security officers hold his hand and escort him in and out of the back seat of a black SUV.
