‘LIVING NIGHTMARE’ Geri Halliwell ‘terrified her life will unravel’ over Christian Horner probe and fears drama will ‘drag on for YEARS

GERI Halliwell is said to be "terrified her life will unravel" amid an investigation into her husband Christian Horner's "inappropriate behaviour".

The former Spice Girl, who was in "floods of tears" after the Red Bull boss was accused of a bombshell, fears the drama will last for years, a source has claimed.

The F1 chief was questioned for eight hours last Friday over his alleged "controlling behaviour" and is currently awaiting a verdict - although insiders believe it could take several months.

The 50-year-old - who strongly denies all the claims - was seen with the team at Silverstone yesterday where Red Bull's new car was unveiled.

His wife Geri, 51, is understood to be standing by her husband.

But the investigation is said to have taken a toll on him, with reports that he is leaning on Victoria Beckham for support.

A source told Closer: "Obviously it's been a hellish time for Geri and she's in a state of complete turmoil - trying to get a handle on the kids while quietly collapsing inside."

The source also said that the media storm "has ruined her fairy-tale life."

The couple will celebrate their 10th anniversary next year after meeting F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone in 2009.

The pair, who are reportedly worth an incredible £440million, are said to be living a "super-perfect, super-posh life" after tying the knot in May 2015 after a whirlwind romance.

But it appears Geri now fears the ongoing investigation into the allegations could put a strain on her marriage and, according to the source, could take years to resolve.

The insider said Gerry fears the investigation could "potentially lead to months or years of legal drama."

He said: "She says she feels like she's in a living nightmare and she's absolutely terrified of how things might unravel."

Horner is fighting to save his career despite being urged to resign by ex-F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone after a female employee accused him of "inappropriate behaviour".

Horner has reportedly described the allegations as "insane" and has publicly stated: "I completely deny these claims."

The Red Bull boss, who has led the Austrian team since its formation in 2005, was questioned by an independent barrister at a secret location on Friday.

F1 insiders "do not expect" him to resume his role at the team, as they believe the investigation could potentially delay the new F1 season.

The first practice session for the Bahrain Grand Prix takes place on 29 February.
