LOW BLOW I went from being too poor to afford KFC to billionaire… now I’ve lost everything after mobsters fleeced me out of £725m

BOB BULL had it all – with a personal fortune of £1.9bn.

Last spring, Britain's biggest bungalow builder appeared on The Times Rich List as Britain's 88th richest person.

To mark the milestone, Bob – who was bankrupt just seven years earlier and was "too poor to buy KFC" – told The Sun to set up three-lane 10-pin bowling in his £10million mansion. Invited to spend the day with Eli.

He and his partner Sarah posed for pictures with their £4million collection of 12 supercars, including five Rollerballs, three Lamborghinis and a 211mph Ferrari.

Just nine months later the cars have been repossessed, the house near Southampton is for sale and even his £15,000 Hublot Ferrari Grand Prix watch has been returned.

Because, late last year, they were made bankrupt again – this time for £725 million.

In an exclusive interview, Bob, 46, reveals for the first time how he has been the victim of an organized crime network - which he believes is linked to the notorious Kinahan drug cartel.

He, his family and his employees say they have been victims of assault, threats of kidnapping and fraud.

Bob and Sarah – now his wife – were attacked and beaten in a bar near Manchester.

A thug knocks beautiful Sarah unconscious before stealing the keys to Bob's £450,000 Rolls-Royce.

The following month a court declared him bankrupt, claiming he owed three-quarters of a billion pounds.

Now Bob Bull is angry and retaliating. He commissioned a team of former Scotland Yard detectives to compile a dossier on his nightmare, witnessed by The Sun.

He concluded that "Mr Bull has been the victim of a conspiracy to defraud him in order to destroy his £4bn caravan, bungalow and holiday park business".

It alleges criminals profited from £46 million and that his father died as a result of repeated threats made to his family.

Speaking to The Sun on the 35th floor of London's Shard skyscraper, Bob revealed he is fighting to avoid bankruptcy and secured more than £1bn of funding to get the business back on its feet Is.

“I would rather jump out of that window than let that happen because it's an insult to my father's grave, an insult to my entire beautiful family.

“My wife punched and kicked me out.

“You might look at her and say she's a beauty queen, but inside she's more beautiful than you'll ever know.

“He has seen cars disappear from the road and never said anything.

“They have been recaptured because criminals have come for my companies.

“The moment you go bankrupt, all your finance agreements come to an end.

“If the judge hearing the bankruptcy had known I was a victim of criminality I think the bankruptcy would have been thrown out.

“These guys have pushed me to the limits of my life and my wife says 'I'm there for you'.

“The truth puts the devil to shame. There is no secret stash of money, Sarah and my son paid for my train fare to meet you today.

Bob's problems began in the autumn of 2022 – six months before he was listed on the Rich List – when he tried to refinance his company Royal Life, which was reported to be worth £4 billion.

But the last-minute £2.8bn finance package – Europe's largest real estate deal – collapsed after the lender abruptly backed out.

Bull says that, in desperation, and under pressure after threats to hit the business with a closure order, he borrowed £3 million from a millionaire rumored to be connected to Ireland's Kinahan crime family, an organized crime Turned out to be a member of the group. ,

heaven to hell

The £3 million was to be paid within four weeks, with a punitive interest rate of £3 million per month.

Bob claims this soon turned into a demand for an astonishing £42 million, backed up with intimidation and threats of kidnapping.

The report prepared by the former Met Police team alleges that Bob was deliberately targeted with the intention of ruining and taking control of his business assets.

It continues: “The group is feared because of its use of excessive violence, including murder, against rivals.

"In the case of Mr. Bull he lost no time in using the threat of violence by the Irish Cartel as a means of reinforcing unreasonable demands as well as issuing his threats of violence and kidnapping..."

Bob says he signed up to protect assets worth millions of pounds across his four main businesses after his eight-year-old son received a serious kidnapping threat.

By assigning security, known as debentures, his other creditors lost confidence and took his lands and property under protective administration.

The detectives' report alleges that Bob handed over cash and securities totaling £39 million "on the basis of a conspiracy to defraud and blackmail".

It continues: "Mr Bull's own father suffered a fatal heart attack in the summer of 2023 as a result of those threats."

As the threats continued, Bob appointed permanent security at his home and offices in Hampshire.

But that didn't stop the man who was approaching with the Chechen bruiser from warning: “If I don't get my money I'll bring an army here with machines and bulldozers and level this place with Bob. "

Bull considered moving to the Manchester area where he grew up to escape the nightmare.

Last November he took his new bride to the North West to inspect the area, but Bob and his wife Sarah were attacked on the night out in the Bubble Room bar in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.

He says: “A man came in and went straight away. He told her some things you shouldn't say about her body parts and her mouth.

“He told him. He hit her, she fell on the floor and became unconscious for about ten seconds.

“I attacked him and it was a mess. We eventually went outside and then security separated us.

“My wife regained consciousness and saw the man hitting me. There was blood everywhere. My nose was stuck all over my face.

“When he left, he took my coat and car keys. Why did he do that?"

horrific attack
Bob found out the next day when a recovery mechanic discovered the heavily loaded Land Rover Defender in Bull's black Rolls-Royce Cullinan, where he had left it in the Marriott Hotel car park in Hale the night before.

The Heavies tell the stunned mechanic that they owe him £10 million and that if Bob is not there in 30 minutes they will tear the car to pieces.

He gave the mechanic a number for Bob to call – it was one of the people he claims was soliciting his business.

Police arrived at the scene, warned the gang, asked them to leave and issued a crime number.

Bob says: “I never borrowed ten million from them. We borrowed £3 million and then they carried out genocide through my business.

"I don't remember those moments when I sat and cried on the phone to the police, waited in the house for them to come but they never did."

Then, last December, Bull was declared bankrupt for £725 million in a hearing at Southampton County Court.

He says he was working on an IVA – Individual Voluntary Arrangement – to keep the business afloat while he sorted out the finances.

They believe in me and the business and they believe that I hold the key to the future success of Bangla Bazaar

There is no suggestion that the creditors who applied for bankruptcy proceedings had any knowledge of or involvement in any criminality.

Late last month, Bob was back in Manchester fighting to overturn the bankruptcy to allow him to save the business and save 2,000 jobs.

Bob told The Sun: “I now have over £1 billion of private capital to rebuild royal life and repair all the damage done by these individuals.

“Finally people are listening to me instead of them.

“My supporters are supporting my cash flow because they know it is not my fault behind the problems.

“They believe in me and the business and they believe I hold the key to Bangla Bazaar’s future success.”

Meanwhile, the 90-page detectives' dossier has been handed over to Hampshire Police, who have interrogated Bob Bull for almost ten hours over his allegations.

Hampshire Police said: "Our inquiries are ongoing."
